Another Significant Achievement for Amiad - Amiad Receives Drinking Water Approval in Macedonia 3 September, 2007 Israel Amiad has received approval for filtration of drinking water in Macedonia for the Prespa lake project the second largest lake in Macedonia. The major problem that needed solving was the presence of abundant plankton in the lake, particularly in the summer months from July through September. Amiad solved the problem through installing a complete filtration system achieving a filtering level of 2 microns and delivering water fit for drinking.
